Wind, Flag Mind, Moves: Three Day Contemplative Writing Workshops

One Breath At A Time | Tim Z. Hernandez

In this workshop we will sit together, walk together, and write together, considering some of the following: How writing and sharing our words are an act of reclamation. A restorative act. An offering. An act of healing. An act of invocation. An act of witness. An act of compassion and forging meaningful connection with one another, and with the larger community. With an open genre approach, anyone working in poetry, fiction or non-fiction will find this a meaningful experience. Prompts will be given and new work will be generated. In the creative process we will also engage our bodies with space and our surroundings, including sound and music, but always in a safe and respectful manner. Join award winning author, Tim Z. Hernandez, as he guides you through the process of rethinking how we consider the power of our words, and by extension, the speaking of them. Space is limited to 20 participants. Come as you are. Workshops

Participants have the option of choosing from one of three workshops, including: Open Genre with Tim Z. Hernandez, Kalina Gallardo & Sergio Godoy, or Fiction with Daniel Chacon. All workshops will take place over three days, with the last day culminating in a public pachanga, in which all participants will get a chance to perform their work.
